Ridge preservation is done in conjunciton with a tooth extraction to provide a solid foundation to house a dental implant. The tooth is extracted, the socket is cleaned and cadavor bone particals are placed and covered with a membrane. This stimulates bone growth in the socket to ensure the bone will be ready to house a dental implant after a few months of healing.
