Subgingival Therapy

Several medications are available that can be placed under the gum line into the periodontal pocket that may help reduce the infection and/or enhance healing. Many products have been introduced that have shown great promise in the laboratory, only to be disappointing when used in the real world. There is a lot of analysis that needs to be down before any new therapeutic regimen in placed in use. We use these products in specific situations and only where a clear advantage is seen to the use.
